God is Good...at...

God is Good …at… 

Ephesians 3:20-21

New King James Version

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

As long as I can remember, in most churches I have visited I have heard the call go out “God is Good!” followed by the response “All the time!” I’m sure you have, too.  Well, the other day I was getting dressed and ready to take a drive and I got to thinking “My car is so dirty!”  Then I looked out the window and saw it had just rained (yes, it does rain in California, just not much.) and the strangest thought crossed my mind.  “God is good…at…washing my car!”  Silly, I know but that got me thinking, so I sat down and started to make a list:

God is Good at…

 1.     Loving me and you

2.     Washing my car

3.     Creating things

4.     Bringing His people together

5.     Healing

6.     Giving me more choices than brussels sprouts

7.     Music

8.     Giving us imagination

9.     Making dogs (ok, and cats, too.)

10.  Flowers

11.  Inspiration

12.  And…well…just about everything.

The list could, and should go on and on.  It’s up to me, and it’s up to you.  What is God good at in your life?  Make a list and keep it close so that you can add to it as you remember, in your life what God is good at.

                         “Dear Lord and Heavenly Father, how blessed we are because of You. Help us in all things to be still and know that You are God and trust you with not just the big things in our lives but in everything in our lives.”
